As 2018 draws to a close, I'm reflecting on the amazing year we've had as a company. To look forward, you have to look back, and that starts with our founder, Jared Green. Since 2007, Jared's vision for simplifying mundane tasks and automating things that take too much time inspires everything we do with PestRoutes software. That unfailing commitment, dedication, and drive are what's made us successful.
2018-The Need for Speed
And speaking of transition, it’s now been 3 months since I joined the PestRoutes team. Starting at PestWorld 2018 and getting the chance to spend quality time with customers and see our team in action was the right way to begin. Debuting new features and functionality and our partnership with Lobster Marketing Group and seeing the rapid pace of activity and growth in the industry demonstrated that growth, scale, and profitability will continue to be front and center in the industry.
Over the last 7 years, PestRoutes has doubled or tripled in size every year, and 2018 was on pace. We doubled the size of the team, making significant investments across the company to support and super-serve our customers and rapidly advance our platform. This investment in our growth could not have happened without the equity investment and leadership of Mainsail Partners. The capital provided in March of this year is helping us scale smartly, expand our services and make operational improvements to support that growth.
2019-The Year Ahead
As the countdown to 2019 begins, it's easy to see and feel the excitement of what the new year has in store for our organization. 2019 is about accelerated growth. We're collaborating with current customers and expanding functionality, including the newly launched integrated websites product. The opportunity for our customers to sell services online and implement lead-generation powered by our platform is essential and a key differentiator in helping them remain competitive. The forecasts are in, and our industry is on pace for another year of significant growth. At PestRoutes we’ll be moving upstream in the market. We are collaborating with our customers to create expanded functionality and continue to re-invest in our team. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements in Q1.
