New Day, New Leadership, Shared Vision

As the founder of PestRoutes, I have had one purpose and vision for my company: help people do what they love and love what they do. I believe that generally speaking, we spend too much of our time on things which distract us from doing what we love. We get caught up in the day-to-day requirements needed just to keep our heads above water and maintain the status quo. Progress and growth always seem to come slower than we hope and our time is continuously stolen by tasks which we don't particularly like and are often inefficient. I love our software because it has the unique ability to automate the things which hog our time, claim our resources, and divert our focus. The software also can help us serve our customers better, make better decisions, and create an image which we are proud of. From eliminating paper from the modern pest control office and automating tasks which previously were expensive and labor intensive to helping companies connect with their customers in more meaningful ways, PestRoutes helps users focus on what matters most. It helps them spend more time doing what they love and loving what they do.

This vision has helped us to be wildly successful over the past 7 years. We have been able to provide tremendous value to over 20,000 pest control users as well as millions of their customers. We have helped thousands of companies save millions of hours and have helped them grow by an average of 25-30% per year (vs. the industry average of 7-8%). This has been incredibly fulfilling to my team and me and a great blessing to be a part of.

As our organization continues to grow and expand our influence, the management and operations of the business have changed dramatically. We have either doubled or tripled our size every year for the past 7 years in a row and have grown from 3 people in a shared office space to almost 100 employees. 

Today is a new day. To keep up with this growth and in anticipation of future growth, I’ve hired a new CEO to run the operations and lead the team at PestRoutes. This in conjunction with our recent investment from Mainsail Partners will help us to continue to provide the absolute best platform for pest control companies to crush their goals. I will continue to serve on the board of directors as well as be involved in projects which I am most passionate about. I have always loved what I do at PestRoutes, and I hope to continue doing what I love in the future.

So today I’m happy to introduce our new CEO, Patrick McKittrick. Patrick’s spent his career at software companies just like ours. From leading a company that developed from just a few employees (sound familiar?) to over 200 employees in just a few short years. He did this by focusing on 3 things above all else: providing real value to customers, helping employees to learn and grow, and by doing what you say you are going to do. Patrick fits in very well with our company culture and core values, and we are very excited to take advantage of his talents and deep expertise.
